A polygraph may be considered where one clear factual issue is disputed and the participant freely agrees to take part. It is arranged through a trained examiner and is never described as completely accurate or a replacement for other evidence.
TSCM is the professional term for a bug sweep. It involves checking a home, office, meeting room or vehicle for possible listening devices, hidden cameras, trackers and related security concerns.
This service combines experienced surveillance teams, temporary cameras, suitable GPS-supported investigations and drone assistance. We select the method that best fits the location, timing and question.
A hidden camera may help where theft repeatedly happens at the same gate. A surveillance team may be better when a person moves between locations. A drone can give an overview of a large site but may be unsuitable because of airspace, weather or privacy. A digital investigation may preserve online evidence without being able to identify the person behind an account.
We explain what each method can and cannot do before you spend money. Specialist equipment is only recommended when it adds something useful to the investigation.
We do not hack accounts, intercept private communications, install spyware, place equipment in private areas illegally or use a drone to look into homes and gardens. We do not promise that every anonymous account can be identified or that every bug sweep will find a device.
Some jobs require a polygraph examiner, drone operator, digital expert or another trained professional. LPI remains your main point of contact and explains who will carry out the specialist part, what it costs and what report you will receive.
The report depends on the service. It may include a timeline of online incidents, a list of connected accounts, a polygraph examiner’s result, bug-sweep findings, security recommendations, a surveillance log, photographs or video. We explain the findings in normal language and state any limits clearly.
Not every unusual noise requires a bug sweep, every disputed story suits a polygraph or every online problem can be solved by tracing an account. We will tell you if the issue is better handled by the police, a solicitor, an IT security company, a safeguarding service or a different type of investigation.
